It is recommended that you clean your hearing aids from dirt and debris on a regular basis. If your hearing aids are not cleaned regularly, it is possible for that dirt and debris to make its way inside the hearing aid and cause internal damage.
Brush off the microphone and speaker openings with a soft-bristled brush
Clean or replace the wax traps when you notice them filling up with wax
Run a wire through the tube of your hearing aid, if you have one, to remove the dirt and debris that collects inside
Use a dry aid kit daily to remove moisture that accumulates in your hearing aid
